Every Mind Matters 2026
We believe that the arts can transform. Through creative arts therapy, children and families build resilience and hope. Every donation makes a difference, because every mind matters.

To empower vulnerable individuals, their families, and the wider community by fostering resilience and wellbeing through accessible creative arts therapy, advancing public awareness, and upholding professional excellence.
The Red Pencil (Singapore) is an Institution of Public Character and a registered charity founded in Singapore. Its mission is to bring the benefits of creative arts therapy, such as drawing, music, movement and dance, to less privileged children, adults and families who have experienced overwhelming and traumatic life circumstances, including life-threatening illness, violence and abuse, especially when words are insufficient. While visual art therapy is the most developed creative arts therapy modality in Singapore, music therapy and dance/movement therapy are being actively reinforced as complementary therapeutic modalities.
We partner with hospitals, family centres, foster and elderly homes, shelters, schools, prisons and other health-related institutions to integrate creative arts therapy into existing psycho-social programmes. Through this process, service users are able to express the unspeakable, find relief, build inner and external resources, gain self-confidence and feel empowered to move towards a more hopeful future.

In the busyness of daily life, it is easy for relationships to drift into routine conversations and assumptions. Even the closest bonds between couples, parent & child, siblings, or friends can lack the space to truly pause, see and understand one another. “Just Us” is a 4-session art therapy programme designed to create a safe, supportive space for two people in a meaningful relationship to reconnect through creative expression. Facilitated by trained art therapists, each session invites participants to engage in both verbal and non-verbal exploration through art-making. Using creative processes as a bridge, pairs are gently guided to express thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be difficult to articulate in everyday conversation. The programme supports a range of relationships, including: - Couples seeking deeper emotional connection - Parent-child pairs looking to rebuild understanding - Siblings navigating distance or tension - Friends who wish to reconnect on a more meaningful level Each session is intentionally structured to foster safety, reflection, and openness allowing participants to move beyond words and into shared understanding. Through the process, pairs may begin to see each other in new ways, deepen empathy and strengthen emotional connection. Over 4 sessions, “Just Us” offers the opportunity to slow down and rediscover what it means to truly be present with one another. Your Support Makes Connection Possible We aim to raise $6,000 to support the delivery of the “Just Us” programme for individuals and pairs who may not otherwise have access to structured therapeutic support. Your contribution will help provide: - Professional art therapy facilitation - Safe and guided session spaces - Art materials for creative expression - Subsidised access for underserved participants Every gift helps create space for two people to reconnect, rebuild understanding, and strengthen relationships that matter most.

Every Mind Matters invites our community to come together in support of the transformative power of creative arts therapy. At the heart of this campaign, we believe: that art has the power to mend invisible wounds. For children, families, and individuals facing disadvantage or trauma, creative expression offers a safe space to process emotions, rebuild resilience, and rediscover joy. Every brushstroke, every melody, every movement becomes a step toward recovery. Your support ensures that beneficiaries receive access to professional creative arts therapy, helping them find strength in their stories and light in their journeys. Together, we can make a difference, because every mind matters.

Your donation can make a direct and lasting impact. Through our Pay-It-Forward initiative, your contribution funds 100 hours of professional art therapy for vulnerable individuals in our community many of whom are referred to us or seek help but are unable to afford the support they need. With your support, children, families, and individuals are given a safe space to express emotions, process difficult experiences, and build resilience through creative therapeutic care. Every hour you fund brings someone closer to stability, confidence, and renewed hope. In 2025 alone, The Red Pencil (Singapore) delivered approximately 800 hours of clinical art therapy sessions and the demand continues to grow rapidly alongside our community and group-based programmes. Each art therapy session typically lasts 1 to 2 hours, and a beneficiary may go through 2 to 3 cycles of care (with each cycle comprising 8 sessions). This means your contribution doesn’t just support a moment, it supports a meaningful journey of progress. All sessions are conducted by trained and certified art therapists, ensuring professional, structured, and safe support for individuals of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances and not simply art jamming or making sessions. Be the reason someone gets the help they need today. Pay it forward. Fund an art therapy hour. Transform a life. 🎨
