Our Mission

To create positive end-of-life experiences for terminally ill patients through the fulfilment of their final wishes.

Ambulance Wish Singapore is a registered charity incorporated in May 2019 that supports terminally ill patients and their loved ones through the simple but deeply meaningful act of wish-granting. Ambulance Wish Singapore is an Institution of Public Character (IPC).

By helping to fulfil these wishes, Ambulance Wish Singapore wants to transform the end-of-life experience for patients with a limited prognosis of less than 12 months, giving them and their families a measure of joy, peace and comfort.

As a volunteer-enabled organisation, the work of Ambulance Wish Singapore is an extension of the provision of care for the dying that goes beyond the walls of hospitals and hospices, to impact homes and hearts.

Our work is rooted in our motto, “Fulfilling Wishes, Celebrating Lives”.

CAKES FOR A CAUSE

Cakes for a Cause is a cake picnic-style charity fundraising event organised by Ambulance Wish Singapore, bringing together cake lovers for a day of sweet treats and meaningful giving. Enjoy a delicious selection of cakes from our participating bakeries while supporting our mission of fulfilling final wishes for terminally ill patients. Pair your cakes with hot and cold beverages available for purchase from Knots Cafe and Living, and browse flowers and merchandise while you are here. It’s a celebration of community, giving and cake! Every ticket purchased helps Ambulance Wish Singapore continue fulfilling meaningful wishes for terminally ill patients and creating cherished memories for them and their loved ones. PLAY IT FORWARD – COME FROM AWAY

Local theatre company, Pangdemonium , is thrilled to stage this inspiring, uplifting, once-in-a-lifetime musical – an incredible true story about real people, and a celebration of love, life, and the very best of humanity. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best Musical, and nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical. SYNOPSIS 25 years ago on 9/11, a tragedy led to a miracle. On the morning of September 11, 2001, the people of the little town of Gander, Canada, wake up to the horrifying news of the terrorist attacks taking place in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. The attacks result in the closure of US airspace, diverting 38 international aircrafts to Gander International Airport. The Gander townsfolk spring to action to house, feed, clothe, comfort and provide a home away from home for the nearly 7,000 terrified passengers, along with 19 animals in cargo. “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll be a better person when you leave the theatre. Don’t miss Come From Away.” – Broadway World A VERY SPECIAL FAREWELL Pangdemonium has announced its closure, marking the end of an impactful chapter in Singapore’s arts scene. It is staging Come From Away at Victoria Theatre from 11 to 27 September 2026 as their final production. In conjunction with this, Ambulance Wish Singapore is honoured to have been offered exclusive Category 1 seating rates for its 18 September 2026 performance. This presents a meaningful opportunity to be part of a celebrated event while supporting both the arts and a good cause. Proceeds from this campaign will go towards supporting Ambulance Wish Singapore’s programme and operating expenses. Qualifying donations will be eligible for matching through Tote Board’s Enhanced Fund-raising Programme, allowing your contribution to go even further through matching support. Ms Vanessa’s Season of Courage

Ms Vanessa’s Celebration of Life was, at its heart, a portrait of strength. Told that her cancer was now terminal, she chose to face this season with courage, creating a living funeral where she could stand in the same room as the people she loves, hear their voices, and celebrate the journey they have shared. She stayed closely involved in the planning, bringing the same determination and clarity she has shown in her work and personal life. The evening was filled with light moments and deep connections – from sincere speeches and spoken encouragement, to messages flowing in through livestream from loved ones overseas, all reflecting how widely and deeply she has touched others. It was moving to see how her international community came together, both in person and online, to hold space for her courage and her joy. During the celebration, her pastor shared reflections and heartfelt speeches that honoured Vanessa’s courage, resilience, and impact. As the night drew to a close, the celebration rose into a joyful finale. When Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” played, Vanessa and her friends danced with bright, fearless energy and laughter, a powerful picture of joy and strength in the face of uncertainty. Heartfelt thanks to Vanessa’s family, Sister Shirley, and the YCCL church community, and to Ambulance Wish Singapore volunteers Ryu, Eunice, Seok Yee, and Kelvina. Special shout-out to our make-up artist, Karyn, and photographer, Brian, for providing pro bono services. This meaningful wish would also not have been made possible without the kind assistance of Strikey Posey for videography and photobooth services, and of floral partner The Wedding Huts for the beautiful venue decoration.
